In the first quarter of 2023, PC sales decreased worldwide by almost a third. This fact is confirmed by the data of the IDC analytical company, which explains the general deterioration trend of the macroeconomic climate, excess stocks, and weak demand in the world. Is this trend relevant to Ukraine? The fall also affected laptops – according to the latest Canalys estimates, their shipments in Western Europe fell by 40%. Experts from the Prologix and ExpertPC brands, which represent domestic PC production, tell us about it:

• As Prologix experts note, the situation on the Ukrainian market is even more complicated, as Ukraine is additionally affected by dependence on the war situation and external financial aid from donor countries. Therefore, according to preliminary estimates of the brand’s specialists, the oversupply on the market may last for another 2-3 quarters. However, if the situation does not change, gradual growth is possible – from the IV quarter of 2023. Therefore, according to preliminary estimates of the brand’s specialists, the excess supply of laptops on the market will last until the end of the year. A gradual supply decrease from the key market players is inevitable, as there is a surplus of goods in distributors’ warehouses. This factor and the traditional increase in demand at the end of the year (quarter IV of 2023) should equalize supply and demand at the beginning of 2024.
