Another important component is the SPD HUB, which combines the EEPROM chip from previous generations with SPD (Serial Presence Detect), supplemented by a temperature sensor. It plays a key role in storing and managing the module’s basic parameters, such as frequency, timing, and voltage. With the SPD HUB, the computer automatically detects the module parameters and adjusts the system for optimal performance. The temperature sensor allows for real-time monitoring of the memory’s operating conditions, which prevents overheating and improves system durability and stability, especially during intensive work or overclocking.
