A modern medical center, spanning five floors, needed a network infrastructure capable of ensuring uninterrupted operation of its critical systems. These included patient monitoring, electronic medical records, video surveillance, fire safety, and access to administrative services.

Solution

Our team selected an infrastructure for the medical center that balanced security, scalability, and ease of management. After analyzing the requirements, we chose Ruijie Reyee equipment, which provided a comprehensive solution for all key tasks.

Central Hub – RG-NBR6210-E Router. Serving as the network’s core, it connected all systems and provided channel redundancy. With the built-in controller, administrators gained a single point of management for the entire wireless infrastructure.

PoE+ Switches (RG-ES228GS-P). Installed on each floor, they power access points, cameras, and sensors without additional power units.

Wi-Fi Coverage via RG-RAP2200(E). Four access points per floor ensured a stable signal even with a high number of users. MU-MIMO technology allows staff to work with multiple devices simultaneously without speed loss.

  • Fiber-Optic Backbone. A star architecture connected all floors to the central router, eliminating signal loss risks and ensuring high-speed data exchange between departments. 
  • Traffic Segmentation. VLAN separation isolated medical equipment from administrative processes and guest access, enhancing both security and performance. 
  • Integration of Auxiliary Systems. Video surveillance and fire alarms were integrated into a single network, allowing centralized monitoring and instant response. 
  • Cloud Management. Cloud-managed capabilities gave administrators remote control, load monitoring, and rapid equipment updates, making the network more flexible and secure.

 

Result

The implemented solution provided comprehensive benefits to the medical center. Thanks to redundant communication channels and automatic failover, equipment operation became continuous and reliable. Centralized management allows the IT team to monitor the network remotely, simplifying system operation. Encryption and traffic segmentation ensure patient data security and compliance with high privacy standards. The network architecture supports the rapid addition of new devices or departments without interrupting existing systems, increasing scalability.

Moreover, all auxiliary services — video surveillance, fire alarms, and access control — are integrated into a unified infrastructure with centralized monitoring.
