Foldable drone - modern reality! New from CES 2020
10.01.2020

CES 2020 continues to surprise: Autel Robotics of China introduced the new EVO II series of drones, which includes the world's first folding EVO II drone with an 8K camcorder. In addition, the EVO II PRO model with a 6K camera, as well as the EVO PRO II Dual drone supporting 8K and infrared images, joined the series.

The models of the new series have the longest battery life among all folding drones (flight for 40 minutes). The drone can reach a top speed of up to 45 mph (72 km / h) with a range of up to 9 km. UAVs have an omnidirectional obstacle flight system based on the patented Autel Dynamic Track 2.0 technology with 12 machine vision sensors, which uses a dual-core processor and allows you to detect potential obstacles at a distance of 30 meters. The system can track simultaneously up to 64 objects, including including people, animals and vehicles.

The standard EVO II model has an 8K camera with a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor that can take 48-megapixel photos (8000 × 6000 pixels) and 10-bit video with a resolution of 7680 × 4320 pixels. Recording is carried out with a bit rate of 120 Mbps, photosensitivity is ISO 100–3200.

EVO II Dual has the same 8K camera with a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor, which in addition is able to shoot thermal images with a resolution of 640 × 512 and 320 × 256 pixels thanks to an additional infrared camera FLIR LWR.

A feature of the EVO II Pro model is a large 1-inch CMOS sensor with 20 million effective pixels, which shoots with a maximum resolution of 5472 × 3648 pixels. The EVO II Pro camera provides 6K HDR video recording, has an f / 2.8 – f / 11 variable aperture lens and is characterized by a light sensitivity in the ISO 100–12 800 range.

All three drones have 8 GB of flash memory on board, which can be expanded to 256 GB using the SD card slot. The models Autel EVO II, Autel EVO II Pro and Autel EVO II Dual have the same battery capacity - 7100 mAh. The weight of the drones is 1127, 1174 and 1192 g, respectively.

The Autel EVO II model will be available at the end of January for $ 1495. The EVO II Pro version will have to wait another month, it will cost $ 1795. When sales will begin and at what price the Autel EVO II Dual is currently unknown.
