Returning to time-tested - from mid-2020 MacBook will again be with scissor keyboard switches
The fact that Apple decided on MacBook laptops to return to using the scissor keyboard switches has been reported for a long time. Now, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has clarified the timing of this transition. An analysis note was published on Tuesday with information that a new MacBook model with a traditional keyboard with scissor switches should be expected in mid-2020.
According to Kuo, Wistron, which is Apple’s manufacturing partner, will be the main supplier of MacBook scissor switch parts. The MacBook with a scissor keyboard mechanism is likely to go on sale at the end of the second quarter or the beginning of the third quarter of 2020.
Apparently, these will be updated models of the MacBook Air or MacBook Pro, although the return of the affordable 12-inch MacBook, which was removed from the assortment this summer, is not excluded.
