According to the resource LetsGoDigital, the South Korean company LG Electronics has registered patent documentation for a very interesting development - a folding TV with a flexible display.

Judging by the leaked images on the Internet, the design of the folding screen panel resembles an accordion. In particular, the display will bend in five places at regular intervals.

When unfolded, the outer sections can be positioned at a certain angle to the central part, which will make it look like a curved panel, which will enhance the immersion effect for the audience.

The device will have a 21: 9 aspect ratio, which makes the TV ideal for watching movies.

In the lateral parts there will be special rigid elements that perform the functions of a stand. They will also act as acoustic modules for sound transmission.

When exactly the TVs with the described design will appear on the commercial market is still unknown. It is expected that prototypes of such devices can be seen at the upcoming CES 2020 Electronics Show, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, from January 7 to 10, 2020.
