New Apple Watch? Ah, no - the first Xiaomi Mi Watch smart watch under its own brand
A large-scale presentation of the latest Xiaomi products is scheduled for November 5, but some details have become known now. So, the manufacturer shared details about his future smart watches, which will first be produced under their own brand.
The company already has a whole range of wearable devices, for example, Mi Band 4, but the new items will be its first truly “smart” watch, since the previous models were just fitness trackers. The device will be running Wear OS.
It is expected that the novelty will be called Xiaomi Mi Watch (this name was noted in the code of the latest Wear OS update). In appearance, it will resemble a smart watch Apple Watch, although there are differences: both the case is slightly thicker and the screen has a less rounded outline. Most smart watches on Wear OS have a round case, but, apparently, in this case, the creators of Mi Watch decided to adhere to the approach of Apple designers.
Through its official account on the Weibo social network, Xiaomi revealed the main characteristics of the device. The smart watch Mi Watch will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip, Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC modules, as well as eSIM support, so they can be used to make calls.
